Ventilation Systems

At Bortek Engineering, we implement all ventilation systems required by our customers through meticulous engineering work. By closely following technological developments, our primary goal is to provide you with the best possible service.

ABOUT VENTILATION SYSTEMS

Industrial ventilation systems are mechanical systems designed to replace contaminated air in the workplace by extracting air from the environment and exhausting it outdoors, or by supplying fresh air to the area. This can be achieved with or without heating, through natural airflow, effective pressure, or mechanical means such as fans. Workplace ventilation is used to control exposure to airborne contaminants. In general, it is used to remove pollutants such as smoke, dust, and vapour in order to provide a healthy and safe working environment. Ventilation can be achieved naturally, such as by opening windows, or through mechanical methods such as fans and blowers.

Industrial systems are designed to move a specific volume of air at a specific velocity in order to remove unwanted contaminants, or "exhaust air." All industrial ventilation systems are based on essentially the same principles; however, a separate system should be designed for each workplace according to the type of work performed and the level of contaminants present.

With Ventilation Systems, the following objectives are achieved:

  1. Providing a continuous supply of fresh air and constantly renewing indoor air
  2. Maintaining temperature and humidity at comfortable levels
  3. Reducing fire and explosion hazards
  4. Removing or diluting contaminants
  5. Preventing unwanted airflows within spaces, such as the spread of unpleasant odours, by maintaining the environment under negative pressure (exhaust ventilation) or positive pressure (pressurised ventilation) relative to surrounding areas or outdoor air

Our Ventilation System Applications:

  • Shelter and Car Park Ventilation Systems
  • Industrial Ventilation Systems
  • Chimney Systems
Frequently Asked Questions

Ventilation systems are mechanical systems designed to remove contaminated indoor air and continuously supply fresh air to enclosed spaces. A properly designed ventilation system helps improve indoor air quality, maintain comfortable temperature and humidity levels, and create healthier working environments.

Industrial ventilation systems can be used in factories, manufacturing facilities, workshops and other workplaces where dust, smoke, vapour or airborne contaminants may be present. Each system should be designed according to the characteristics of the workplace and the type of contaminants generated.

Proper air circulation is especially important in enclosed areas such as car parks and shelters. A suitable ventilation system helps remove contaminated air, supply fresh air and maintain acceptable indoor air quality. BORTEK Engineering provides project-specific ventilation solutions for shelters and car parks.

When designing a ventilation system, factors such as the size and intended use of the space, required airflow rate, potential contaminants and airflow direction should be evaluated together. Since every building has different requirements, the system should be professionally engineered and designed specifically for the project.
